This tour will start in the beautiful city of Cusco where our guide will pick you up to head towards the town of Ollantaytambo along the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here we will take the tourist train that will take us to the beginning of the famous Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Our walk will last approximately 7 hours and as a reward we will arrive at the Inca City of Machu Picchu. A lovely hike through the cloud forest, visiting Wiñay Wayna the most beautiful Inca town on the Inca Trail, after 6 hours of hiking you will arrive to the Sun Gate from where you will witness the first view of Machu Picchu. At the end of the tour we will spend a day at the magical, mystical and amazing Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
Detailed Travel Itinerary with Amazing Andean Adventures
Wake up early for a morning train ride to the Km104, where the trek stars Along the way we will visit the Inca Ruins of Chacha Bamba after 4 hours of uphill the archeological side of Wiñay Wayna a beautiful Inca Palace, after lunch you will continue the trek for one hour to reach the famous Inti Punku (the Sun Gate), where you will be rewarded with the impressive view of the Magical Machu Picchu citadel, after an hour of walking down we will finally arrive to Machu Picchu, where we will take the bus ride to Aguas Calientes town.
Stay overnight in the town of Aguas Calientes, at El Mapi Hotel or similar.
On our second day at Machu Picchu we will have the opportunity to climb to the famous Wayna Picchu peak or the Sacred Machu Picchu peak for a perfect view of the entire Inca City, Lunch at the town of Aguas Calientes before the train ride back to the Sacred Valley and Cusco. Overnight stay at Casa Andina, Private Collection or Similar.

We were recommended this company by our neighbor. Ruben/Juan was great with questions and provided a lot of valuable information as I was planning parts on my own instead using a set tour, partially due to wanting to climb one of the optional peaks which you need to book months in advance. We then hit a snag with my wife’s passport and Ruben happily rearranged the tour for us even though we gave last minute notice.
Our tour guide Wagner met us where the bus dropped us of (can be arranged to pick up from your hotel as well), and we spent the next two hours learning a lot about the history of the site and he took us away from the crowds, and accommodated our photos requests. After we hung around and explored on our own until it was time to leave….
