The city tour of Cusco is actually a tour in which you will be able to observe the city of Cusco. We will visit the traditional market of San Pedro, the temple of the Sun or Koricancha and the Basilica Cathedral of Cusco. Also the archaeological park of Sacsayhuaman within which we will visit the archaeological sites of Tambomachay, Qenqo and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman This Tour will begin in the morning, where your local guide from Cusco will pick you up at your hotel lobby to embark on a magical excursion, especially cultural and creative.
This tour will begin in the morning, where your local guide will pick you up at your hotel to embark on a magical and totally cultural excursion to some of the highlights of Cusco. The tour starts at 08:00 am.
Departing from the city center in a private van, we will visit the magnificent Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which can be translated as “spotted falcon” or “spotted head”.
The latter interpretation refers to the belief that the city of Cusco rose in the form of a puma whose head was the hill of Sacsayhuaman.
After Sacsayhuaman, your van will be waiting for you to continue with visits to Q’enko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, also located on the outskirts of the city.
Before returning to Cusco for a stop at the ‘Qoricancha’ or Inca Temple of the Sun.
We will complete the excursion with a visit to the local market, where inside the main building you will find the supply market with:
Fresh fruits and vegetables, alpaca meat, guinea pig, whole piglets, fish and seafood, groceries of all kinds.
We´ll also find small food stalls where Mom buys fresh products for a few soles
Finally, we will visit the cathedral of Cusco before we return to your hotel.

We were recommended this company by our neighbor. Ruben/Juan was great with questions and provided a lot of valuable information as I was planning parts on my own instead using a set tour, partially due to wanting to climb one of the optional peaks which you need to book months in advance. We then hit a snag with my wife’s passport and Ruben happily rearranged the tour for us even though we gave last minute notice.
Our tour guide Wagner met us where the bus dropped us of (can be arranged to pick up from your hotel as well), and we spent the next two hours learning a lot about the history of the site and he took us away from the crowds, and accommodated our photos requests. After we hung around and explored on our own until it was time to leave….
